Statera

Introducing our latest addition to our preamp stable, model Statera, our differential balanced tube hybrid line preamp.

Statera, meaning balance in Latin, is a diffenretial balanced line preamp design, maintaining the +ve and -ve balanced signals from the XLR inputs, through the preamp and back out to the XLR outputs, using the vexcellent 6922/E88CC audio tube with a MOSFET output buffer. In effect, Statera has two differential balanced mono circuits, one for the right and one for the left channel.

A lot of time was spent on this design by our partner Ray Waters, Ray has really excelled with this circuit.This is a very elegant yet simple design, the end result being an amazing sounding line preamp.

The power supply is the same we use in Titan and Aretha, it is a well proven design delivering stable regulated DC supplies for both B+ and tube filament and a Lundahl power transformer, which is custom made for us by Lundahl to our exact specifications, model LL3737.

This is a no compromise design and build, only the best parts are used as well as Mundorf MCap EVO film coupling caps'.

Statera is housed in a custom wooden chassis.

Two ALPS Blue Velvet volume controls are provided, one for the right and one for the left channel. These can also be used to adjust the 'balance' if required.

Input selection is for 4 line level balanced audio sources. As an option, a balanced tape loop, consisting of tape in and tape out, is also offered.
