Decoris is our brand new single ended stereo amp using two 2A3 triode output tubes, driven by a pair of 12AT7 dual triode. Decoris replaces our model Ray SE amp.
Decoris is built using a combination of pcb and some point to point wiring, similar to our other amp builds.
The two 12AT7's use a regulated DC supply to ensure extremely low noise operation, the 2A3 of course use AC filament supply with a hum cancelling potentiometer located on the rear panel, one for each 2A3 tube.
The high voltage B+ supply is choke & capacitor using a 5AR4 tube rectifier.
Tubes are PS Vane Horizon series.
The result is an amazing sounding 2A3 SE amp delivering 4W.
The output transformers as well as the power supply choke are Lundahl.
The power transformer is made by Edcor, as Lundahl does not yet have a suitable power transformer for the 2A3 family of tubes.
Decoris is build to order and will take 6-8 weeks to build and ship.
Every Decoris amp comes with your choice of chassis wood and plate colors.
