Decoris is our brand new single ended stereo amp using two 2A3 triode output tubes, driven by a pair of 12AT7 dual triodes configured in SRPP.
Decoris replaces our model Ray SE amp.
Tubes are PS Vane Horizon series.
Decoris is built using a combination of pcb and point to point wiring, similar to our other amp builds.
The two 12AT7's use a regulated DC filament supply to ensure extremely low noise operation, the 2A3 of course use AC filament supply with a hum cancelling potentiometer located on the top panel, next to each 2A3 tube for easy adjustment.
The high voltage B+ supply is choke & capacitor using a 5AR4 tube rectifier and a Lundahl LL1638 choke.
A Blue Velvet ALPS potentiometer is used for volume control, this allows you to connect a CD player, DAC or mobile phone directly to the amp, without having to go through a preamp.
The result is an amazing sounding 2A3 SE amp delivering 5W into 8 OHMS.
The output transformers are the superb sounding Lundahl LL2766.
The power transformer is made by Edcor, as Lundahl does not yet have a suitable power transformer for the 2A3 family of tubes.
Decoris is build to order and will take 6-8 weeks to build and ship.
Warranty is 24 months, 12 months on the tubes.
