Model Ray is our SE (Single Ended) class A amplifier at 4W/CH. It is designed around the excellent 6L6G beam power tetrode tubes strapped in triode mode. We chose this power tube as it has been in use for decades and has proven itself in classic electric organs as well as in many other audio amplifiers. The driver tube is the venerable 6SL7 dual triode.
The standard build comes with a volume/attenuator control, but this can be left out on request.
A pair of the first class Lundahl LL1682 output transformers will give you an amazing listening experience.
The 6L6G bottle shape tube is superb sounding in this SE application and will stand side by side with ANY 300B or 2A3 etc. tube based SE amp, we know, we listened to them all!
Ray is build to order and will take 6-8 weeks to build and ship.
Every Ray amp comes with your choice of chassis wood and plate colors.
