We are currently working on a new kit, the PAS Loudness control.
This kit will come with a small pcb, the parts and a slide switch. This slide switch, which will solder directly to the pcb, will fit into the existing front panel slide switch positions.
For our PAS New Gen kits, the location of the loudness switch will be the first position left of the power switch.
Once it is ready for sale, will let you know.

This is welcomed news. It will certainly look nicer than my "cut & jump" loudness circuit that is mounted to the volume control. Will there be a taped volume control included or have you worked around that issue.

yes, been thinking about it for a while, so finally got on to it!
No, you would need to supply your own 100K audio taper volume control WITH the extra loudness tap. There are quite a few of these available on the market.
Do remember, the loudness circuit is designed to be used with a 250K MN taper balance and 100K audio taper controls. This will be highlighted in the manual you'll get with the kit as well as on the web page once it is published.
Here is a mock up of the pcb and slide switch, the pcb is actually a printout on paper

depending on demand, I may end up keeping some 100K volume controls with the loudness tap, time will tell

Ok folks, the PAS Loudness Control kit has been released, kit#38, details here,
https://www.erhard-audio.com/Accessories-Kits.html, scroll down to the kit #38.
I have also added kit#39, which is a 100K volume control with the required loudness tap which is sold separately, same page as above, scroll down to kits 19,20 & 39.
The kit will come with a comprehensive instruction manual as well as all required parts of course.
I know there are 'ALPS' 100K volume controls with loudness taps available off eBay and the like, but they are not genuine ALPS. I have tried them and they seem to work just fine. I will not offer those as they are non genuine ALPS.

This is good news. Got my order in. I also have some Alps Knockoffs and they do seem to be OK. I also have some smaller non-stepping Alps Japan controls that are OK and I wonder if they are Knockoffs too.

thanks for the order, will get that out to you this week.
Yes, even though those 'ALPS' are not genuine, they do work fine....for now....be interesting to see how they fare down the track.

Hello everyone.
How does this circuit perform in the aikido preamp?
I am about to put together the aikido version from Holger and was wondering if I need one of these loudness controls or if it really does not add much more to the already great products from this forum.
Please let me know.
If it really makes for a great add-on. Can I have it wired permanently? I remember me using it all the time in my old stereos, never turned it off.
Thanks
Frank
