My name is Holger, and I am it! I am Erhard Audio! :-) I have been involved with electronics on and off since the mid 70's, and had the pleasure of working in recording studios and playing in a band. We had a lot of fun in those days!
A few years back, my interest in tubes sparked again, which eventually led to starting up Erhard Audio. I work from home in beautiful Ennis, Montana, about 1.5 hrs from, Yellowstone.
All of our amps and preamps are handcrafted by me. The custom wooden chassis are handmade, and the anodized aluminum plates are supplied by Front Panel Express out of Washington State.
For the past few years I have been working with Ray Waters on some of the gear, and the results have been magic! Ray's knowledge of tube circuits is amazing, which has allowed us to be able to offer you, our client, some pretty amazing sounding amps and preamps!
We only use top quality parts in the construction of our gear.
You can be assured that all of my gear is built and tested to the highest standards, and that you will get a first class tube amp or preamp with every build.
Erhard Audio's gear has been sold to South America, Europe, Scandinavia, Asia, Australasia, Canada and of course right here in the USA.
That brings me to our Warranty and Guarantee. All amps and other equipment made by me are warranteed for 2 years, and tubes for 6 months. As with all electronic components, failures can and do unfortunately happen - it is the nature of the beast. I try to minimize this by running the amps for at least 24 hours as most failures tend to happen early on. Also, these vacuum tubes run hot, and heat will bring out any problem components. Again, this is why I run each build in my workshop so that I can take any action needed before I send it to you. Having said that though, 99.9% of the time there will be no problems at all.
If one of the vacuum tubes in your amp should fail after a while - no problem. I will send you a closely matched unit free of charge, and you can just plug in the replacement unit.
